RackMine.com is managed and owned by RackMine Limited, a company registered in Hong Kong, an ideal location for hosting offshore sites.
How long have you in business?
Serving clients across 70 countries from our initial base in Malaysia since 1999, now expanding to Hong Kong.Today we have grown to provide a mullti-location Dedicated Server and Virtual Private Servers hosting. Currently, we are managing over 500 servers hosted at different locations in Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia.
What is a VPS?
VPS is a Virtual Private Server, and is a virtualized server. A VPS runs its own copy of an operating system, and customers have superuser-level access to that operating system instance, so they can install almost any software that runs on that OS.
What kind of Virtualization do you use?
Kernal Based Virtualization and Container Based OpenVZ were chosen because of its reliability.
Do you offer Windows servers?
Windows based VPS solutions are not currently available.
Do you support IPV6?
IPV4 still dominate our VPS offer. We will announce IPV6 availability when available.
Can I get a custom plan of CPU, RAM, or hard disk space?
We do not currently support the ability to create custom plans where resources can be increased independently. Users are advised to upgrade to higher package in case server resources over used.
Is there any server managing and administration support service available?
There will not be any server management and administration support service available.
Is there any server backup service provided?
Client are responsible for their own backup.
Which Linux distributions do you offer?
We offer different linux distributions with 32 or 64 bit options, which includes CentOS, Ubuntu, Debian and Fedora. You may visit to our order form for the latest list.
Where is your data center located?
The data center is located in Malaysia.
Do you host DNS?
No, there was no DNS server service provided.
What is your payment acceptance?
We accept Paypal only.
Do you offer refunds?
No, we do not offer refunds. If there are extenuating circumstances, please open up a ticket with our support team.
How to cancel?
If you no longer need a service you can use the “Request Cancellation” feature.
Head over to the client area on our website. Go to Services > My Services. Then, click the “View Details” button for the product that you would like to cancel. Choose Management Actions > Request Cancellation. If you do not request cancellation, your service will receive a new invoice at the end of your billing period.
Is there any renewal reminder send to me before expiry?
Our system will auto send the renewal reminder before 10 days hosting expiry. If there is no payment received after the due date, client vps will be suspended automatically.
How long you will keep my VPS data after expiry?
The VPS server will be delete automatically after 45 day suspension.
How long it takes to setup the VPS server after the payment is made?
The new VPS server will be setup instantly after the payment received successfully.
Will my VPS IP address a dedicated address?
Each VPS server will be assign with an unique dedicated IP address. Rebuilding a virtual server retains the same IP that you had initially.
How do I connect to my VPS?
Use PuTTY to connect to your VPS via SSH. The standard port number is 22.
Do you support adding multiple IPs per virtual server? How can I get an additional IP?
Yes, the VPS server do support add on ip addresses, you may subscribe add on ip addresses when you place the VPS server order.
Can you provide the steps to stop/start/format/restart my VPS server?
You may login into the client area to manage your VPS server. Click on “Services” from Menu, then select “View Details” of that VPS server. You may boot/reboot/stop/shutdown/reinstall your VPS server with no time wasted.
Can I upgrade my plan?
Yes. you may upgrade your existing plan by contact our sales team. Typical downtime is 30 seconds to 5 minutes as we reboot your server with the new resources.
How many domains I can host?
There are no artificial domain limits, you control everything on your server.
